What skills and experience we're looking for

Thank you for your interest in working at Pudsey Bolton Royd Primary School. We are looking for ambitious and aspirational teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and supportive team at school to cover a period of maternity leave, within upper Key Stage 2, starting on the 2nd June 2025. For an exceptional candidate we would consider a September start.

Pudsey Bolton Royd is a ‘good’ school (OFSTED Nov 2023) where we ‘have high expectations for what pupils learn and experience’, have ‘high levels of engagement in lessons’ and ‘staff build positive relationships with pupils’.

We are looking for a teacher who

  • Has a positive, happy and friendly demeanour.

  • Has a clear understanding of primary learning in upper Key Stage 2
  • Is committed to creating an environment which supports, stimulates and challenges pupils

  • Is a caring professional who has the highest expectations for all pupils, fellow staff and themselves and is committed to raising standards of attainment, achievement and well-being for all.
  • Can inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be
  • Is a teacher who is willing to contribute to our successful team and has the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Embraces inclusivity and celebrates diversity.
  • Can fully support our core values of Care, Growth and Teamwork.
