What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Teacher status
  • Experience of working in a primary school
  • Knowledge of and compliance with school procedures and policies, including child protection and safeguarding protocol
  • Strong and consistent behaviour management that aligns with the school’s Therapeutic Thinking approach
  • Have experience of working closely with parents in successful home-school partnerships
  • Ability to use formative and summative assessment effectively
  • A desire to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of a school
  • Ability to plan and effectively resource engaging lessons to support all learners
  • Ability to adapt provided schemes to meet the need of all learners
  • Committed and motivated
  • Have high expectations of all pupils, understanding their needs and using and evaluating distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them
  • Willingness to assist and participate in the wider aspects of school life
  • Child centred, warm and caring approach
