St George’s are building on our 2019 ‘Ofsted Good’ inspection rating. Whilst our EY was graded as ‘Requires Improvement’ significant changes have been made, positively impacting our current position. Over the next couple of years the school is likely to grow as a result of a local housing development, which would initially lead to the expansion of our early years provision and then subsequently the rest of the school. This could offer opportunities for development and career progression.

Working for St George’s CE Primary School means that you would be part of the Cranmer Education Trust, a successful, growing Trust which prides itself on looking after its people, offering a high level of support and access to expertise. This is an excellent time to join the team, as we develop collaborative structures and systems to enhance and support our growing family of schools.

Alongside St George’s, the Trust is made up of The Blue Coat School, The Brian Clarke CE Academy, St Anne’s Academy in Middleton, and Mayfield Primary School. The Trust also incorporates a teacher training school and the East Manchester Teaching Hub; both of which support the training and development of new and existing teachers across the North West of England. For further details on all of this, please visit https://careers.cranmereducationtrust.com/.

We offer:

  • Opportunities for professional development in a growing Trust
  • Teachers career average pension scheme including life insurance and dependent’s pension
  • Convenient location for motorway (Junction 22, M62), bus and tram networks
