Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Full-Time | 1 February 2027 - 31 August 2027

Redbourn Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and talented teacher to join our friendly and supportive team as a Year 2 Class Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a lovely class of children in a thriving village primary school with high expectations, a strong sense of community and a commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and those earlier in their teaching career who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience of teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and child development.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive.
• Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
• Be committed to ensuring all pupils make excellent progress.
• Work effectively as part of a supportive team.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider school community.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
