Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Full Time From September 2025 (Possibility that the role may become permanent due to future school expansion).

Whilst our current Reception teacher is on maternity leave, we would like to welcome someone new to join our caring, enthusiastic and dedicated staff team. The class teacher will work in our Reception class with experienced Teaching Assistants. They will join us on our ‘Hygge Journey’ as we complete the Curiosity Approach Accreditation to develop our setting into a ‘home from home’ environment. St. John’s is currently on a journey to become a one form entry school with our new two story build starting in February 2025. This development allows us to grow our team as we move gradually towards becoming one form entry and this could provide the opportunity for this role to become permanent in the future.

Our school is a place where children and staff flourish through strong partnerships with parents enabling our children to meet their full potential. The team is committed to children's well-being, achieving high standards and providing the best opportunities. The school is set in the middle of a farming community surrounded by fields yet not far from Rochdale and Oldham with good links to the motorway and public transport networks.We are delighted to have recently joined the Cranmer Education Trust and are excited about working alongside our family of schools.
Our school is currently half form entry but will be growing to become one form entry from September 2024 with an extension on our build starting very soon.
