Class Teacher job summary

At Stanwick Primary School, we have extremely dedicated and committed staff that work to provide a range of experiences to enhance the learning journey that children will take throughout school. Our vision is for our pupils to leave our school with confidence in their own ability, believing that they can achieve far beyond the expectations of the curriculum and that are ready to access life beyond the primary years. We value the tools that can be used to achieve this and continue to develop our offer for the children. We use outdoor learning and real world experiences where possible to enhance the learning that takes place.

The Role:

  • Assist with the development of a child's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities

  • Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources

  • Help children develop curiosity and knowledge

  • Build and maintain relationships with parents

  • Observe, assess and record each child's progress

  • Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the setting

About You:

  • Graduate with appropriate degree (Hons)

  • PGCE/Qualified Teacher Status

  • Experience with curriculum development work

  • Experience of attaining and analysing a class set of data

  • Experience across the age and ability range (particularly KS1 and KS2)

  • Commitment to developing teaching and learning

Benefits:

  • An open and collaborative working environment, not just within your academy but also across the Trust where innovation is encouraged.

  • Commitment to exploring ways to reduce email traffic and confine email replies to office hours – while recognising our employee’s preferences for when they work

  • Commitment to continuously review workload issues and explore options for simpler, less onerous methods and processes.

Nene Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, students, and volunteers to share this commitment. All shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search as part of our due diligence process.
