The Role

Staveley Community Primary and Nursery school are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational full-time teacher for our village primary school initially until August 2025. The successful candidate will likely teach either our Y1/2 class or our Y3/4 class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is beginning their career, or someone more experienced who is looking for a new challenge. ECTs are welcome to apply.

About Us

We currently have 83 children on roll, split into four classes. Staveley Community Primary and Nursery School is also part of the TIG Federation (Togetherness Inspires Growth) along with Kirk Hammerton C of E Primary and Long Marston C of E Primary.

At Staveley, we aim to inspire and provide pupils with the skills and opportunities to make them inquisitive learners who believe in themselves and each other. We believe that all children should be nurtured and safe, and that our school provides a unique and ideal place for them to flourish as they learn and grow.

About You

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, passionate, nurturing and dedicated to providing the very best opportunities for our pupils. We are looking for someone who consistently delivers high standards of teaching and learning and who is keen to work as part of a small, close working team. It is vital that the successful candidate has the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community, forming and maintaining meaningful relationships. Experience of teaching mixed age classes is desirable, but not essential.
