Temporary Class Teacher

Purpose

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning, enabling all pupils to achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment. The postholder will maintain high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attitudes, while supporting the school's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

• Maintain high expectations and standards of learning, behaviour and presentation.

• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.

• Adapt teaching to support all learners, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.

• Create a positive, stimulating and well-managed classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers.

• Uphold safeguarding requirements and professional standards at all times.

• Qualities

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate high expectations and a commitment to excellence for all pupils.

• Be an effective and reflective classroom practitioner.

• Have strong behaviour management and organisational skills.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

• Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Be flexible, enthusiastic and committed to continuous improvement.

• Promote the school's values and contribute positively to school life.

• Experience of teaching in a primary school setting.

• Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
