What skills and experience we're looking for
St. Michael’s CE Bamford Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a teacher in the early stage of their career to cover a maternity leave for the full academic year 2025/26. You will need to be a committed, caring teacher, confident to work in Nursery. If you are passionate about delivering top-quality learning and believe that every child can and will succeed, we would welcome an application.
- Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status
- Excellent grades on final teaching practice
- An excellent primary classroom practitioner who has high expectations and is committed to raising standards.
- Evidence of ongoing personal professional development.
- Accurate use of standard written and spoken English
- Evidence of having raised standards and achievement
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Has a sense of humour balanced by a deep commitment to improving pupils’ lives
- Ability to work on own initiative prioritising and managing time effectively.
- To be able to communicate clearly with a wide range of people.
- Ability to establish and sustain good relationships with parents, pupils, governors, staff and the wider community.
- Good curricular knowledge; subject and pedagogical
- High standards of planning
- Good understanding and awareness of safeguarding child protection
- Be committed to the development of self and colleagues
- Relevant experience working with the appropriate age range of pupils
- Promoting active learning and problem solving situations for children
- Ability to create a stimulating learning environment
- Experience of developing home school partnership.
- Experience of working effectively with a TA
