St Anthony’s Catholic Primary Academy is looking for an individual with commitment, energy and drive to join our team. With excellent behaviour, an excellent team of staff and children who enjoy learning, St Anthony’s is a wonderful place to work.
This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a rewarding role and really make a difference in a supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified SENCo (or in the process of obtaining NPQ SENCo) and will have an excellent knowledge of child development. They will:
Effectively deliver a specialist curriculum, to a class of approximately 12 high needs pupils
Coordinate a team of dedicated teaching assistants working within and beyond the Additional Resource Provision in order to support both within and beyond the base
Support the design and development of the Additional Resource Provision
Contribute to the strong Catholic ethos of our Academy.
Meet pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs as well as their pastoral and welfare needs
Work in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, representatives, directors and primary MAT partners
Have a proven track record in improving attendance and attainment for students with SEN
Have responsibility for the role of SENDCo at a whole school level
Work directly with the Inclusion Coordinator to support the development of exceptional adaptive teaching across the school
Coordinate assessments, referrals and interventions for students with SEN and Disabilities, including ASD & ADHD
Work in multi-agency teams around the child, including parents, to ensure that pupils’ needs are identified and met and as a result, pupils with SEND needs thrive.
Our teachers are employed under the terms and conditions for Teachers and we continue to be part of Teachers’ Pensions.
