Class Teaeher & EYFS Lead job summary

Parkfield Community School is seeking to appoint an experienced Class Teacher & EYFS Lead.

Duties will include: -

  • Having high expectations and aspirations for our pupils.
  • Planning and preparing learning for pupils.
  • Teaching, according to their educational needs, the pupils assigned to her/him including the setting and providing feedback of work carried out by those pupils in school and elsewhere.
  • Providing a stimulating classroom environment which encourages pupils to become independent learners.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress and attainment achieved by those pupils.
  • Communicating and consulting, in accordance with current guidelines and circulars, with the parents of the pupils she/he is assigned to teach.
  • Provide strong leadership, direction and management to ensure sustained improvement across the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Enable EYFS staff to deliver high-quality practice so that children achieve the highest possible standards.
  • Lead the development, implementation and review of EYFS policies and practices in line with continuous school improvement priorities.
  • Support and contribute to staff development and professional learning related to EYFS practice.
  • Share in and support the leadership of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic decision-making and whole-school improvement.
