What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to recruit a Key Stage One Class Teacher on a Full Time and Temporary basis, from September 2024. This position is suitable for an ECT/MPR who will be supported by a full package of induction and coaching offered by experienced staff. The Key Stage One Team is led and managed by a Phase Leader who is supported by Senior Leaders in school. There are two Year 1 classes and two Year 2 classes and they are located off the Infant Hall. The pan for each year group is 60.

Staff plan together and PPA is set and supported by the team at John Clifford School. There is a close relationship between Key Stage One and the key stages above and below and staff work together to ensure that information is shared that best supports development. The curriculum is secure and developed and builds upon the Foundation Stage with a strong emphasis on the acquisition of language and vocabulary. Essential Letters and Sounds is the chosen scheme for phonics.
