What skills and experience we're looking for

Orrell Holgate Academy are seeking to appoint a flexible, hardworking, caring, enthusiastic and skills teacher who shares our desire to ensure that all children at Holgate become lifelong learners. This role involves covering PPA for some of the school as well as cover for our SLT who are based in class.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, organised and resilient
  • Have excellent classroom practice with high expectations of pupils achievement and behaviour
  • Have experience of working in KS1 and KS2
  • Be able to evidence the positive impact of their practice upon pupil progress
  • Be able to work constructively as part of a friendly, collaborative team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills
  • Be highly professional and well presented with a good standard of spoken and written English
  • Have a commitment to developing pupil personal development and to developing effective relationships with pupils in school
  • Be committed to ensuring that children are always safe, happy and are fully engaged in learning.
  • Be able to identify a strength in their ability to teach a particular foundation subject through parts of school
  • Have a commitment to our school and its ongoing success.
