Cleaner job summary

Every great school day starts with a clean, safe and welcoming environment. Join our team and help make a difference for hundreds of young people every day. You'll play an important role in helping us provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment where students can thrive and achieve their best.

Whether you have previous cleaning experience or are looking for a new opportunity, we'd love to hear from individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a supportive team.

Our cleaning team work after school from 3.30pm - ideally this role would work alongside the team, from 10:30am until 6pm (This includes a 30 minute lunch break). However, there is flexibility in this for the right candidate; for instance working from 9am until 4:30pm (Which includes a 30 minute lunch break). Hours of work can be discussed at interview.

What you'll be doing
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas.
  • Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and welfare facilities.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Replenishing consumables such as soap and paper products.
  • Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
  • Helping create a positive, welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
What we're looking for
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Previous cleaning experience is welcome but not essential, as training can be provided.
