Key Responsibilities and Duties
Cleaning Duties
- Clean classrooms, shared areas, and other designated spaces to a high standard, ensuring they are well-maintained and conducive to learning
- Ensure all cleaning and site equipment is kept in a safe and working condition
- Replenish consumables (e.g., soap, paper towels) as needed
Teamwork and Flexibility
- Work collaboratively with the site team and other staff to ensure the school is clean and presentable at all times
- Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the school
Safeguarding
- Maintain a good understanding of the school's safeguarding policies and procedures
- Report any concerns or issues related to the safety and wellbeing of pupils to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL)
- Contribute to the overall safeguarding of all pupils in the school
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the school
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with pupils, staff, and visitors
- Understanding of and commitment to the school's vision of being highly inclusive and supporting children with complex special needs
