Cleaner job summary
12.5 hours per week (all year round) 3:30pm - 6:00pm or 4:00pm - 6:30pm
We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic cleaners to ensure the cleanliness of the classrooms and other facilities across the Academy. You may have experience in the cleaning industry or have previously worked in a school environment but most importantly, you will enjoy working with people and have great attention to detail.
The role is to provide high quality service to individuals using the school’s facilities, and to ensure the site facilities are appropriately clean by the end of each day. Typically, this role will involve working later during the day, however during periods of school closure there may be the opportunity for day cleaning services also. The role includes:
Cleaning all surfaces, fixtures and fittings
Cleaning floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate
Cleaning toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas
Cleaning equipment after use
Undertaking special cleaning programmes during academy closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises
Collecting and disposing of waste in appropriate manner
Cleaning and maintaining waste bins
We expect our cleaners to be a hands on, can do individuals with great people skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience of cleaning.
