About this Role

The Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust are looking for a cleaner to join our central shared services team. You will be responsible for the presentation and cleanliness of our central team offices based at Beacon Academy. You will ensure that the offices are kept to high standards of appearance and cleanliness for colleagues and visitors alike.

Main Responsibilities (see attached job description for further details):

A Cleaner is part of the Trust’s central shared services team responsible for ensuring that the designated allocated areas of the premises are cleaned, sanitised and safe for use. Working under the guidance of the Trust Finance and Facilities Manager, you will maintain the Trusts high expectations and health and safety regulations to deliver the best possible environment for our pupils, colleagues, and visitors.

The nature and intensity of the work required varies with the season. During academy closures and holidays, the team carries out programmes of special deep cleaning, and all cleaners are expected to contribute to these programmes.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Children's Barred List check. Further pre-employment checks, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and the Trust's Safer Recruitment procedures, will be completed before any appointment is confirmed. Where applicable, candidates who have lived or worked outside the UK will be required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct or equivalent overseas criminal record check.
