Cleaner job summary

The ideal applicant will be a hardworking, team orientated individual who is capable of working unsupervised to undertake a variety of cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, wiping of surfaces, removal of rubbish and dealing with reactive cleaning requests such as spillages and restocking of hygiene supplies.

The cleaning team provides vital support to ensure that the school building is clean and well maintained.

Areas of school to clean include classrooms and toilets as well as office and communal resource areas.

Successful applicants for the role will support the deep clean schedule during the school holidays, and occasional school events where additional duties may include carpet cleaning and pressure washing of outdoor areas.

Successful applicants will be required to carry out light manual handling duties and must be capable of following health and safety requirements.

Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to employment and will abide by Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust policies and procedures and Pudsey Waterloo Primary School’s safeguarding and child protection policies.

Prior to employment, the successful candidate will be subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references, medical clearance, a check of the ISA barred list, prohibition order and DBS Enhanced Disclosure, verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK as well as verification of qualifications and professional status where applicable.

The successful candidate will abide by Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust’s policies and procedures and Pudsey Waterloo Primary School’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
