Hours: 12.5 hrs weekly (2.5 hrs per day Mon - Friday) afternoons 3.30pm-6.00pm

St Peter’s Catholic Primary school is a one-form entry primary school, in the South of Birmingham. We are looking to appoint a cleaner, to commence as soon as possible. They will be hardworking and committed to providing an excellent cleaning service. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

Duties

To secure and lock the school at the end of the shift

To arrive for work on time and wear the correct clothing for the tasks you will undertake during your shift.

To sign in and out of the building.

To follow a detailed high level cleaning schedule some of which is listed below.

To empty all waste bins and remove to the appropriate rubbish bin outside.

To clean all surface areas e.g. desk, shelves, filing cabinet etc. without disturbing people or their belongings.

To clean all interior glass e.g., glass panels in door, partition wall, glass table, reachable windows etc.

To vacuum/sweep all areas and mop any hard floors.

Clean male and female toilets, washbasins and tiles etc. Replenish toilet rolls, hand towels and soap dispensers.

To ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety including putting out safety signs, were necessary.

To be a team player, covering areas when needed,

Promote, through good conduct, the ethos and values of the school.

Report any defects seen which are likely to affect security i.e. broken/cracked windows, etc to the Site Manager.

Other relevant cleaning jobs around the building and on grounds as directed by the Site Manager and school staff.
