Woodford Halse CE Primary Academy has a vacancy for a Cleaner.

Working hours are 10 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks), hours can be to suit either 6:30am - 8:30am or 3:00pm - 5:00pm each day Monday to Friday during term time only, with additional hours during holidays (paid as extra hours).

Hourly rate: £13.28, Annual salary £5,815.07

The role involves:

Carrying out essential cleaning and tidying tasks in designated areas of the school to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

  • clean designated areas, working to a time allocation, of the school using appropriate tools and materials including mop, brush, duster, vacuum, buffer and polish as required to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained

  • empty litter, external and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to school policies on waste/recycling

  • top up consumables as and when required or inform the School Office Manager of the need

  • move furniture and equipment if required for cleaning, with assistance from a colleague where necessary, to enable cleaning to all areas

  • inform the School Office Manager of matters that require attention/replacement i.e. light bulbs, blocked toilets

  • ensure that doors and windows are secure and lights are turned off

Woodford Halse C.E. Primary Academy is a rural school in the Northamptonshire countryside with 254 primary pupils and around 50 nursery pupils from the local villages. Our school is on a large site on the outskirts of the village with facilities such as a forest school, preschool, swimming pool and a large playing field on site.
