Cleaning Assistant job summary

Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust is pleased to invite applications for the post of Cleaning Assistant at Beckbury Church of England Primary School.

Salary: NJC Grade 1 SCP 3 (£12.85 per hour)

Contract type/term: Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday 3.00pm - 6.00pm (15 hours per week) Term Time plus 3 weeks

We are looking to appoint a reliable and conscientious School Cleaner to join our friendly team at Beckbury CE Primary School.

This is a regular, term-time (plus 3 weeks) role with consistent hours, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out daily cleaning duties across the school

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Following health, safety and hygiene procedures

Reporting any concerns relating to the premises

About you

We are looking for someone who:

Is dependable, organised and trustworthy

Has an awareness of health, safety and hygiene procedures

Has previous cleaning experience (desirable, but not essential)

Is comfortable working independently

Is able to act as a responsible key holder if required

Full induction and training will be provided, and ongoing support will be available.
