Clerical Assistant- School Office job summary
St John’s CE Primary Academy, part of St Chad’s Academies Trust, is seeking a friendly, reliable and well-organised Clerical Assistant to join our academy team.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day clerical and administrative support within the academy office and will often be one of the first points of contact for our pupils, parents, visitors and colleagues. The role will include a range of duties such as answering telephone calls and emails, supporting attendance and school meal administration, maintaining records and providing general administrative support to the academy team.
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and able to work effectively in a busy school environment. You will need good communication and IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a range of tasks while providing a welcoming and professional service.
Previous administrative experience would be beneficial, although we are particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn. Experience of working within a school or educational setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
At St John’s, you will be joining a supportive and committed team with the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the day-to-day life of the academy. As part of St Chad’s Academies Trust, you will also benefit from being part of a wider family of academies committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.
This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and safer recruitment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
The Trust is committed to being a Flexible Employer and welcomes open discussion around flexible working options.
