Clerk to Governors job summary
Christ the King College is a joint Church of England and Catholic College on the Isle of Wight, providing a Christian education underpinned by Gospel values and reflecting both Church of England and Catholic traditions. It operates under the auspices of both the Church of England and Catholic Dioceses of Portsmouth. The school has over 1,100 students on roll, including a Sixth Form College of about 200 students. It is a well-established comprehensive school, which is well supported by parents and highly respected in the community.
The Governors are looking for a reliable, flexible and trustworthy Clerk to Governors. Suitable candidates will need to possess good ICT and organisational skills, interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and efficiently to high standards. Previous experience in working as a Clerk to Governors in a school or similar role would be an advantage. The working hours need to be able to be arranged flexibly as Governors’ meetings take place after school hours; working from home is a possibility.
