Clerk to Governing Body

Contract - Permanent

Hours - Part Time (79.5 hours per annum (any additional hours will be paid at the respective rate)

Salary - Scale 4 - Scale 5 (dependant on experience)

Holyoakes Field First School, Part of Bordesley Multi Academy Trust is looking for a competent Clerk with excellent secretarial, typing and word processing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in minute taking and the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels is desirable.

In order to promote and ensure consistency of communication throughout the Trust, the appointed person will act as Clerk to the Local Governing Board and Committees of Holyoakes Field First School, and maintain communication with the Trust regarding compliance.

📘 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality administrative support to the Governing Board and its committees

  • Prepare agendas, collate and distribute papers within required timescales

  • Attend meetings, take accurate minutes and maintain governance records

  • Offer procedural advice to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism
