VACANCY FOR FINANCE ASSISTANT

Salary: SUPPORT– Grade 5, Points 5-7 (Meridian Trust), (£24,790.00-£25,584.00) full-time equivalent
Hours of work: 37 Hours / 52 Weeks per year
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our core finance team. The Role will include assisting with the finance operations of the Core Trust Finance team. There will be daily, weekly, monthly, and termly tasks to achieve to ensure we meet our financial requirements and to streamline the finance operations within the team.
The Opportunity
Ensure that the Trust’s financial procedures are adhered to at all times, with an emphasis on payment authorisations and ensuring that orders do not exceed Budget Holder’s financial limits
Assist the finance officer in issuing purchase orders for hospitality, cross trust purchases, credit card purchases
To input expense claims onto the trust accounting system and to arrange recharges to other locations where appropriate
Attend Staff Meetings and contribute and participate in Trust events and activities where possible
The ideal candidate
Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
Good understanding of Microsoft products including excel and word
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
High personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
Professional approach when dealing with all issues and staff.
