What's the best thing about working for OAT? That's easy. The people. Whether it's our pupils, who are diverse and full of character, or our staff, who are committed, full of energy and driven by the purpose of our work. Our people are amazing; we value them and we take care of them.

Ormiston Rivers Academy is an exciting and supportive place to work. There is a commitment to teamwork at all levels in the school and we work together to provide outstanding opportunities for our students, supported by cutting edge facilities. We are committed to high quality teaching and learning, and we seek and embrace strategies to inspire and support our students.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious and motivated individual to carry out the key role of Cover Supervisor in the Academy from 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday during term time only. The successful candidates will give instructions for the lesson as provided by the teacher and keep students on task whilst maintaining good order in the classroom.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and approachable with a “can-do” attitude and a genuine commitment to providing the best possible educational experience to our students.

If you are looking for a change of career, we will provide all the necessary training through a supportive, extended induction package - all you need to bring is enthusiasm, care for children and a good sense of humour.

We offer a competitive package of benefits for our staff including:

  • Employee benefits and wellbeing package
  • Cycle to Work salary sacrifice scheme
  • The best professional development to support your career, including a comprehensive induction programme with Trust wide career opportunities
  • EAP service which includes free confidential advice to staff and a counselling service available 24/7
  • Access to a contributory pension scheme

Our new colleague will also benefit from being part of Ormiston Academies Trust, one of the oldest and largest school trusts in the country.
