We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated Cover Supervisor to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play a key role in ensuring learning continues when teachers are absent.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence in managing classrooms, and the ability to engage and motivate students across a range of subjects and year groups. You will be organised, proactive and able to think on your feet, maintaining high expectations while fostering positive relationships with students and colleagues alike.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent classroom management skills and can confidently supervise groups of students.
- Can create and maintain a positive, purposeful and inclusive learning environment.
- Has strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates resilience, enthusiasm and a professional approach.
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting (desirable).
- Has GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above.
This role would be particularly well suited to graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches or anyone considering a future career in education.
