Cover Supervisor job summary

We are seeking to appoint a permanent Cover Supervisor whose main responsibility is to manage classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pre-prepared activities are undertaken by students. This is a pivotal role and the person appointed will work closely with teaching staff. The successful candidate will have access to a wide range of professional development opportunities.

This role would suit either;

a) A newly qualified Teacher looking to gain experience before undertaking a specialised teaching role

b) someone who is interested in training to become a Teacher. This role will provide you with the experience required to apply to take up a place in a Teaching School.

The ability to demonstrate a positive approach to students to support their learning is essential. Appropriate training will be provided.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
