Cover Supervisor job summary
Our Lady of the Magnificat MAC are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor. This is a full-time, term time only plus inset days role (39 weeks per year), based at St Benedict's Catholic High School, Alcester.
Main Purpose of the Role
- Complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes, it may also involve progress and monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students achievement, progress and development.
- Be responsible for students’ learning and behaviour in those circumstances where a teacher is not available to teach a class or where a group of students need special supervision.
- Manage the provision of cover supervisors and day to day management of Supply Staff.
- Manage the cover of teaching staff ensuring the smooth delivery of Teaching and Learning.
