This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about primary education and enjoys working with children across all primary age phases.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality learning in the absence of class teachers.
  • Lead whole-class teaching sessions across the primary age range.
  • Support pupils in achieving their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with national expectations.
  • Support children with a range of SEND and behavioural needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a purposeful learning environment.
  • Uphold the academy's safeguarding and welfare responsibilities at all times.

Essential Requirements for this Role:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • N/SVQ Level 3 in Teaching/Classroom Assistance.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C/4 or above

HLTA qualification is also desirable

    • Successful experience working with children across the primary age range within a primary school.
    • Experience of delivering whole-class teaching.
    • Experience of assessing children's achievements and progress.
    • Experience of supporting pupils with a variety of SEND and behavioural needs.
    • Experience of planning collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively as part of a team.
    • Working knowledge of the National Curriculum and other relevant learning programmes.
    • Understanding and implementation of relevant policies, legislation, and codes of practice.
    • Excellent ICT skills
