PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel that is seeking a Cover Supervisor. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ and the successful candidate will help deliver this for our schools. We currently have three schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019, and Bannockburn Primary School, a large successful primary that joined the Trust on 1st November 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational. Our Trust and our schools pride themselves on a culture of high standards delivered through our Values of Care and Unity. We provide a rewarding environment where students and staff feel valued and supported and everyone feels part of the larger family as our schools and departments work very closely together.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys are looking to appoint a motivated and inspiring Cover Supervisor to take on the supervision of a class of pupils in the absence of a teacher.

The successful applicants will have the ability to work with students whilst undertaking the work set and ensure a constructive and ordered learning environment. It is essential that you demonstrate experience of building positive working relationships with young people and communicating with teachers to achieve positive outcomes for students.

Whilst previous experience is not essential, applicants must be highly organised and have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.

The successful candidate should have a professional appearance, attitude and will be able to deal with staff, students and parents with confidence. They should also have strong interpersonal skills, be confident in their approach and demonstrate high levels of attention to detail.
