To help us, The Brittons Academy wish to appoint an enthusiastic Creative Technology Technician to work across the Design and Technology and Art departments. The successful candidate will work as part of a professional team, supporting safe and secure learning through technical assistance and delivery of practical activities. They will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of equipment and teaching areas.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team of professionals.

  • Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • Communication skills to interact with young people and adults

  • Commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.

  • An understanding of specific technical health, safety and security issues in schools

  • Ability to support Design Technology & Art teachers in the setting up and clearing up of DT & Art rooms

  • GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths
