Curriculum Leader for Mathematics job summary

Curriculum Leader for Maths: Required for September 2022 We are looking to appoint a child centred, dynamic and forward thinking maths teacher to lead a successful team of colleagues. Candidates will have proven leadership skills and be an inspirational classroom practitioner. It is rare that a key strategic role like this arises in the school to join such a vibrant middle leadership team and a school with very low staff turnover. The maths department is a large and successful team of staff that consistently support students to achieve excellent outcomes. In addition to quality first teaching and learning, supernumerary specialist school-led tutoring helps to personalise students’ experience of maths through targeted and focussed intervention. All full-time maths teachers have their own classroom, appropriately equipped with laptop, projector and visualiser and there is a comprehensive induction programme in place to support new staff. Frederick Gough School is an over-subscribed community school, which aims to ensure all of its learners leave as happy, well rounded, qualified individuals ready to succeed in the next chapter of their lives. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. For all applications there will be an enhanced DBS check including children’s barred list information. Further details are available from the school and interested candidates are welcome to visit the school by appointment in advance, to meet Mick Dalton (Deputy Headteacher). Closing date: Thursday 20 January at noon with interviews to be held on Tuesday 25 January. North Lincolnshire Council do not accept CVs. You must complete the application form via the 'Apply' button.
