What skills and experience we're looking for
Education and Training
- University Graduate with a good degree in a relevant subject
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Evidence of relevant CPD and commitment to ongoing professional development
Teaching and Learning
- Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant KS4/5 media courses
- Use of innovative approaches to the development of teaching and learning
- Have a proven record of success in improving student outcomes
- Able to motivate students and develop positive relationships with parents/carers
- Have a willingness to offer extra-curricular activities
- Knowledge of UCAS application process and how to support students in accessing Russell group Universities
- Able to teach other subjects
Leadership and Management
- Be able to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower staff to carry the school’s vision forward
- Able to develop the teaching of others to secure improved student outcomes
- Have experience of curriculum development and monitoring the delivery by a team of staff
- Able to use data to evaluate the performance of staff and students and plan changes in curriculum, assessment and pedagogy
- Experience leading the training of other staff which raised standards

- Have clarity of vision and be a strategic thinker

We are a successful and significantly oversubscribed 11-18, mixed, community high school of 1580 students located in West London. Elthorne Park High School is a successful and heavily oversubscribed 11-18 mixed community school with around 1580 students on roll including 375 in our growing sixth form. We are situated in West London within walking distance of Boston Manor underground station and are a high-performing school with outcomes which consistently place us in the top 10% of schools nationally.
We have again received a record number of applications for post 16 study this year.
We were judged to be outstanding at our last inspection and take great pride in our high levels of staff retention and our innovative programme of continuous professional development.
