The Role
Reporting to the Director of Mathematics, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding mathematics practitioner to strategically lead maths development across the Academy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced middle leader looking for their next role, where we offer the opportunity to work as part of a supportive and dedicated department.

The Department
Our maths department currently consists of eleven excellent practitioners. We will provide a comprehensive support and mentoring programme for the successful candidate to ensure that you excel at your role and can fulfil your own ambitions and potential.

The School
Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have recently completed a further £10 million expansion project.

Our vision is to combine education and health in transforming the futures of our young people. We are on the journey to becoming the provider of choice in a secondary setting and the hub of our local community and are seeking exceptional and inspiring individuals to join our committed team.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding maths practitioner with a mastery of your subject to strategically lead maths development across the Academy. With a proven track record of success of raising pupil attainment at KS3 and KS4, you will possess the ability to inspire excellence in both students and colleagues alike, playing a pivotal role in leading an innovative and growing department towards even better outcomes for our students.

MHA was one of seven sponsored academies who opened as part of a programme to transform educational provision within selected communities across Manchester. Opening in September 2009, MHA is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, with Manchester City Council as our co-sponsor. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have recently completed a further £10 million expansion project following an increase to our PAN.
