St Mary's Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled School Data and SIMS Manager to join our dedicated team of support staff. You will be required to provide clear and accurate information and data analysis, creating and providing management reports, supporting the timetabling and exams function and other staff in their use of data management systems and reporting/return obligations. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our data systems and supporting staff in their use.
As Data and Sims Manager you will be required to analyse data to support school improvement and strategic planning, liaise with external agencies and stakeholders regarding data requirements and support and upskill others in accordance with our data and reporting/return requirements and data management policies and procedures. You will manage and maintain the school’s SIMS database and must be willing and able to provide training and support to staff on data systems.
The post holder will be responsible for all SIMS and data operations, supporting other staff in the use of SIMS and completing statutory returns and ensuring accurate and timely completion of statutory data returns and reports e.g. annual census (workforce and pupil) and CES census requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience with using, interpreting and assisting others with SIMS and data management requirements, preferably in an educational setting (or the ability to obtain these skills within a short timeframe), excellent IT and organisational skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to be pro-active, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
