Admissions Officer job summary

We are a thriving, diverse, and forward-thinking state boarding school that provides an exceptional education for students. We are committed to nurturing confident, well-rounded young people within a supportive boarding and day school community, underpinned by high academic expectations and strong pastoral care.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and personable Admissions Officerto join our dedicated admissions team. This is a key role within the school, supporting the recruitment and admission of students into both our day and boarding provision and acting as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective families.

Our Admissions Team plays a vital role in the life of the school, working closely with senior leaders and boarding staff to ensure a smooth, transparent, and positive admissions process. The successful candidate will manage enquiries and applications, coordinate admissions events and assessments, maintain accurate records and data, and communicate clearly and professionally with families throughout the admissions journey.

This role would suit someone with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment. Experience of working in admissions or within an educational setting is desirable, but not essential—full training and support will be provided. What matters most is your enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for prospective students and their families.

We look forward to receiving your application and welcoming a new colleague who will play an important part in shaping the future of our school community.
