What skills and experience we're looking for
Job Purpose
To support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in ensuring effective safeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school. The postholder will act as a first point of contact for staff reporting safeguarding concerns, triage and manage lower-level safeguarding issues, maintain accurate records, coordinate interventions, and contribute to safeguarding practice that promotes the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
The DDSL will also hold a small caseload of higher-profile safeguarding cases under the direction of the DSL, attend multi-agency meetings as required, and lead specific safeguarding interventions with pupils and families.
