Are you passionate about safeguarding and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing and success of our pupils. This role will support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in delivering effective safeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school and will act as the lead safeguarding professional in the absence of the DSL

Aim and main purpose of the role:

Support the management of safeguarding and child protection concerns.

Make referrals to external agencies and coordinate support where required.

Maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records.

Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to colleagues.

Work collaboratively with families and external professionals.

Attend safeguarding and multi-agency meetings.

Support safeguarding audits, monitoring and reporting activities.

Promote pupil voice and ensure children feel listened to and supported.

Support safeguarding training and awareness across the school.

Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the DSL.
