Deputy Faculty Leader / Head of Design Technology (Resistant Materials)

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Design Technology with a specialism in Resistant Materials. The appointed person would also form part of the Technology Faculty Leadership team, by fulfilling the role of Deputy Faculty Leader for Technology.
This is a fantastic opportunity for existing Heads of Design Technology or an exceptional teacher of Resistant Materials to further their experience by contributing to the leadership of our large ‘Technology Faculty’. As the existing Head of Faculty has an additional Trust wide role, we are looking for an individual who would be able to confidently lead the faculty whilst they are fulfilling trust-wide responsibilities.
Not only are we are looking for an exceptional teacher, but we are also looking for a teacher who could contribute to our emerging programme of vocational qualifications.
The successful candidate will:
• Be able to consistently model best practice teaching and share this expertise with colleagues.
• Want to work with children of all abilities and be driven to meet their needs through strong teaching and a visionary curriculum offer.
• Be a committed, caring and compassionate individual capable of building strong relationships with students and staff
• Have experience of teaching GCSE and A Level teaching.
• Have experience of teaching or an understanding of BTEC and other vocational related qualifications.
