What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential:
- At least 2 years of proven successful leadership and management experience in a school.
- Experience of working throughout the primary age range.
- Experience of analysing data and using it to inform future practice.
- Experience of line managing other members of staff.
- Experience of leading whole-school initiatives.
Desirable:
- Evidence of demonstrating strategic leadership.
- Experience of raising standards that have impacted positively on pupils and teaching and learning.
- Experience of making effective use of funding and other resources. Eg. Pupil premium, looked after children funding, covid catch up funding

Pierrepont Gamston Primary School is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join our strong and dedicated senior leadership team. We are looking for an individual who will lead and inspire others to reach for the highest standards in teaching and learning whilst also providing pastoral care with warmth, kindness and love.
This exciting opportunity would suit someone looking for a full time post or 4 days a week part time role as we seek to appoint the right next person following the promotion of the previous deputy head teacher. The role will include a PPA teaching commitment and dedicated leadership time.
The role will involve leading a Key Stage and overseeing the curriculum for the whole school, monitoring it, overseeing the continuing implementation and ensuring CPD remains a priority for staff in order for the high standards of teaching and learning to be sustained.
Our new Head Teacher, Claire Bills joined the school in September and it is an exciting time to join this very special church school on the next stage of its journey. We hope you will be a part of shaping the vision and moving the school forward.
