Deputy Headteacer job summary
Steeple Bumpstead Primary School, part of Unity Schools Partnership, a trust of 30 schools, is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational deputy headteacher.
We are a one-form entry village primary school that is at the heart of the community. Our inspiring, and aspiring approach means that our children achieve well and leave us as successful, thoughtful ambitious and resilient pupils. We have a friendly and committed staff team who work in partnership with our supportive and engaged parents. Our children are well-behaved and keen to learn. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in June 2016 and received a ‘Requires Improvement’ judgement. We have moved on leaps and bounds since that time and would like to welcome a new member to our team to continue our journey.
We are keen to appoint a deputy headteacher who will teach in either Key Stage and will play a key role in further developing the quality of learning and teaching and personal development across the school. You will have good collaborative skills; be well organised; adaptable; creative and most of all, committed to ensuring the very best education for children.
Steeple Bumpstead Primary School has an experienced headteacher who has been in post for over 15 years. We also have a Senior Teacher who was appointed in January 2020. This post offers the unique opportunity to play a key role as part of a new leadership team who will develop Steeple Bumpstead into a centre of excellence within a forward-thinking multi-academy trust.
Applications should be completed online. The person specification sets out the areas that you will need to cover to support your application. In addition, you should state your vision for education and what you believe you can contribute to the senior leadership team at Steeple Bumpstead Primary School.
