The opportunity:
The Brigshaw Learning Partnership MAT are looking to appoint an inspirational new Deputy Headteacher to Allerton Bywater Primary School. We are a multi-academy trust in outer east Leeds. We’re focused on providing a transformative cradle to career education that allows our children lives of choice and opportunity. By the age of 18, we want every child to leave our high school with the option of university or a high-quality alternative.
At Allerton Bywater Primary school we are focused on developing a curriculum that builds powerful knowledge, raises aspirations and provides rich learning experiences for our children. You’re joining us at an exciting time.
We are never content with an ‘it’ll do’ attitude, and firmly believe that commitment and hard work is needed from all our people and our partners.
Our priority for Allerton Bywater Primary School is to establish a culture of continuous improvement. We expect all our staff to commit to being ‘better, every day’, in our mission to provide a transformative education for our children.
We are searching for an inspirational leader who can support the Headteacher to continue to rapidly strengthen the quality of education by:
● growing a powerful aspirational and values-driven culture where all children can succeed
● embedding a rigorous academic curriculum for all
● supporting and challenging staff to lead across different curriculum areas
We strongly encourage interested applicants to arrange an informal and confidential discussion about the role. Please contact head teacher Sarah Scotland on 01977 522620 or email Wendy Harrington on harrinw02@brigshawtrust.com to arrange a meeting with the trust CEO.
Application packs are available from Katie Hollis, EPM by emailing katie.hollis@epm.co.uk
Closing Date: 24 January 2022 at 12 noon
Interview Date(s): 4 February 2022
This Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to have an up to date DBS disclosure
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children regardless of age, gender, religion or beliefs, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or socio-economic background. All adults in our schools have a full and active part to play in protecting our children from harm, and that the child or young person’s welfare is our paramount concern. We ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities in respect of safeguarding and is provided with appropriate training to recognise, identify and respond to safeguarding concerns relating to children and young people.
