What skills and experience we're looking for

Be an existing or aspiring Deputy or Acting Deputy/Assistant Head with relevant experience of leading on a substantial area of school improvement such as English, curriculum development or phase leader.

• Be able to offer a “director of learning” specialism in English or curriculum development.

• Be dedicated, committed, enthusiastic, passionate and innovative.

• Inspire and motivate staff and children to ensure that they feel valued and supported.

• Be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.

• Be an excellent teacher with a robust and well-developed understanding of pedagogy; able to mentor, coach and develop others.

• Be confident to offer support to colleagues within the Trust and externally as part of the school improvement team.

• Continue to further the school’s and Trust’s progression, engaging fully with stakeholders.

• Continue to build on the strong relationships with parents, carers and partners within the Trust as well as in the wider community.

• Strive to further develop collaborative working with schools within and beyond the Trust.

• Support the visions and values of our trust and the school and continue to embed them.

• Be responsible for, and dedicated in, the promotion of children’s and staff well-being.

• Have a proven track record of raising standards of achievement for children in a context wider than in your own classroom

Crabbs Cross Academy is a vibrant and welcoming school to teach in. We have a strong and supportive staff team who deliver a creative and engaging curriculum for our children. We were rated ‘Good’ at our last Ofsted inspection in May 2019. We are looking for someone to join our team. We require an enthusiastic individual to work alongside staff to support a pupil with SEND/additional needs.
