About Blackpool Gateway Academy

Welcome to Blackpool Gateway Academy, a vibrant educational hub located in the Bloomfield Ward of Blackpool, conveniently close to Blackpool Football Club and adjacent to Seasiders Way. As a two-form entry school in Key Stage Two, and transitioning to one-form entry through Key Stage One, we are committed to providing a high-quality education for over 300 pupils aged 3-11 years, supported by our comprehensive nursery provision.

The Deputy Head post will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards in teaching, learning, and curriculum development. This position will also include Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsibilities, for which training will be provided. A commitment and passion towards trauma-informed practices and an outward mindset is essential, ensuring a supportive and responsive environment for both staff and children. This role will require collaboration with various stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity.
