What skills and experience we're looking for

Responsible for student behaviour and attitudes, personal development and safeguarding.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational colleague with vision, drive and a proven track record of successful leadership to be the Deputy Headteacher leading the school’s pastoral work.

The successful postholder will be expected to:

• Provide outstanding whole school leadership;
• Contribute significantly to the strategic management and operational activity of the school;
• Ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach the highest possible standards;
• Deputise for the Headteacher, as required and
• Work with the Governing Body and other stakeholders to ensure the school’s vision is clearly articulated, shared, understood and translated into real and effective action by all.

We are seeking a colleague who:

• Is a credible leader and strong communicator;
• Is a strategic thinker and able to deliver student programmes and staff CPD in line with best practice;
• Will visibly promote the culture, ethos and values of Chenderit School;
• Has a proven track record of securing outstanding personal and educational outcomes for all students;
• Has the skills and ambition to become a headteacher.
