What skills and experience we're looking for

A strong understanding of curriculum design, sequencing and progression, with the ability to secure a coherent, knowledge-rich curriculum

Expertise in evidence-informed teaching and pedagogy, including how pupils learn and retain knowledge over time

Proven ability to lead and improve the quality of teaching across a school, reducing variability and securing consistency

Strong knowledge of effective assessment practice and its role in shaping teaching and improving outcomes

Ability to analyse and interpret data and monitoring evidence to identify priorities and drive improvement

Experience of leading whole-school improvement initiatives that have had a measurable impact on pupil outcomes

Ability to develop and coach others, building leadership capacity and improving classroom practice

Strong organisational and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to plan, implement and evaluate effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team

A clear commitment to inclusion and equity, ensuring all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND, achieve highly
