Join Our Team - Deputy Headteacher Opportunity

Foxbridge Primary School is seeking an ambitious and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent teacher and emerging or experienced leader who wants to make a real difference, grow alongside a developing school and take the next significant step in their leadership journey. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and empowered to succeed.

Foxbridge is a new, purpose built primary school at the heart of the Castle Donington community. Our motto is Nurture, empower, succeed. We provide an inclusive and experience rich curriculum with high quality pastoral care so that children can achieve academically, socially and personally. As part of Flying High Partnership, the school benefits from strong collaboration, professional learning and leadership support across a thriving family of primary schools.

About the Role

Working closely with the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher will make a significant contribution to the strategic leadership and continued development of Foxbridge Primary School. This is a role with genuine scope to grow: the successful candidate will help shape the school’s next chapter, develop their leadership across a broad range of responsibilities and make a visible impact on children, colleagues and the wider community. They will model excellent classroom practice, support and challenge colleagues and help translate the school’s vision into consistently strong provision for every pupil.

For the right person, the role also offers the opportunity to develop expertise and take whole-school leadership responsibility for special educational needs and disabilities. Applicants do not need to be an existing SENDCo or already hold the SENDCo qualification. Where appropriate, the school and Partnership will provide the support, professional learning and time needed to complete the relevant statutory qualification and grow confidently into this area of leadership.

We Can Offer You:
  • A commitment to people across our partnership, underpinned by our people principles: adaptability, wellness, recognising achievement, employee voice and engagement, professional development and growth, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • A welcoming and inclusive school where children are at the centre of every decision.
  • A genuine opportunity to help shape a growing school, influence its future and see the difference your leadership makes.
  • A supportive Headteacher, committed staff team and strong wider Partnership who will invest in your success.
  • A tailored induction and ongoing challenge and support to help you grow confidently in the role.
  • High-quality continuing professional learning, including access to our bespoke Flying Forward leadership development programmes and National Professional Qualifications.
  • Rich opportunities to learn with and from colleagues across Flying High Partnership, broaden your leadership experience and develop towards future headship.
  • A comprehensive and growing employee benefits package designed to support your health, wellbeing and financial security. This includes our Medicash Health Cash Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, salary-sacrifice schemes and a range of discounts and cashback offers.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Is an excellent and reflective classroom practitioner with high expectations for every child.
  • Has successful leadership experience and can demonstrate a positive impact on teaching, learning and pupil outcomes.
  • Understands effective school improvement, assessment and curriculum development.
  • Is passionate about inclusion and committed to removing barriers to learning for pupils with SEND.
  • Builds trusted relationships with children, families, colleagues and external partners.
  • Can support, inspire and develop others while providing appropriate professional challenge.
  • Brings energy, integrity, resilience and a strong commitment to the school’s values.
  • Is ambitious for Foxbridge and keen to contribute to the wider work of Flying High Partnership.
