Imperial Avenue Infant School is a Local Authority maintained school in Braunstone, Leicester. We are a three-form entry EYFS and KS1, with a nursery (28 FTE), a Designated Special Provision (12 places) and a Special Educational Needs Unit (10 places) both specialising in communication and interaction. 


Governors wish to appoint an inspirational and motivated Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team. They should be able to demonstrate an excellent teaching practice with a specialist knowledge of Early Years and Key Stage One, be driven leader with a strong commitment to sustaining school improvement, to inclusive and reflective practice, and to creating an environment in which every child feels safe and supported. They should have experience impactful practice, with SEND, EAL and disadvantaged pupils. 

We are looking for a talented leader to work collaboratively with our Head Teacher, Governors and colleagues to ensure the school continues to be highly regarding in all aspects of its provision, particularly our approach to SEND and inclusion.
