The post is a permanent, full time contract. There will be a teaching commitment connected to this role of up to 0.6; however, the exact nature of the teaching commitment will be decided based on the strengths of the successful candidate.

As such, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate recent evidence of whole school leadership that has improved the educational and well-being experiences and outcomes for pupils. We are looking for someone who is passionate about coaching and has a keen interest and ability in working alongside other professionals to improve practise and maintain consistently high standards of teaching and learning, whilst sustaining a positive work-life balance for all staff.
The successful candidate will be key in shaping the future of teaching and learning at Lipson Vale and support in developing the leadership potential in others by offering mentorship. As such, they will themselves be an established leader who brings to the role a range of leadership experiences and knowledge.
This is an exciting time to join the Lipson Vale team as we will be in our 2nd year of a 3 year strategic improvement plan and have recently re-established our vision and associated core values. Our community is right at the heart of our vision and the successful candidate will be committed to ensuring all school decisions are made in the best interest of our community and pupils.
We offer a passionate and dedicated school team who are committed to ensuring that every child achieves their individual potential. We are one big family at Lipson Vale and believe in working together to ensure we are a strong team working collectively in the best interest of every pupil.

Lipson Vale Primary School is a school that works hard to be the hub of its local community. It was built in 1953 and has since undergone three phases of extension and modernisation. It is a two form entry school and provides accommodation for up to 420 pupils and 75 staff. There are 14 classes, with two classes in Foundation, four in KS1 and eight in KS2. We have worked hard over recent years to create an educational environment which is stimulating and empowering, as well as safe and secure – a school that is fit for purpose. We value the opinions of our school community; the children, parents, staff, visitors and governors, and in partnership work together for the good of everyone. We have included some helpful links to support with home learning and also some of our key policies and procedures. We hope that as you investigate this website you will discover a school that has the child at its centre. We all care passionately about education and recognise that our role is to provide opportunities that will encourage the children in our school to become lifelong learners with the capacity to show humility, intelligence and self belief. If after exploring the website you have unanswered questions then feel free to contact the school and arrange a visit. We would be delighted to meet you and show you around.
